Why people would stand in line before the doors even open to shop at Abercrombie & Fitch??? Is it just for the opportunity to see some beefcake up close, or is there supposed to be something special about the clothes?

I’m pretty sure it’s the beefcake.
I also think that many of those people are ones tourists who haven’t been to that store before because there is not one near them. Once they experience the horrible service and ridiculous prices, hopefully, they’ll never go back! My kids never liked shopping there, thankfully. I remember when A & F outfitted persons for their safaris.
sorry, delete ones
The clothes do not distinguish themselves from at least a half doen other retailers.
One of my sons’ friends got hired at the local A&F. She went in to shop and was told, “You’re gorgeous, we’ll hire you any time.” No retail experience or even aspiration to work there- she just looked the type.
I think it’s called going with hoi polloi
I’m confused as well. That place SUCKS. It’s loud, smelly (WAY too much cologne pumped out), overpriced, and boring.
Agree with WendyB. Although since most of them are teenage boys (in London at least), I feel bad when women ogle at them.
No idea…
It is not for the clothes. It is definitely for the beef. And, what is with the smell of A&F. I cannot stand walking by their stores—too much cologne.
HAVE you ever SMELLED that place??? Godawful, headache inducing STENCH. I asked the kid who worked there how he could stand the place all day and he smiled sweetly and told me he LOOOOOVED working there. I couldn’t get my gift and get out of there fast enough. It’s what all kids from 8-28 crave these days. So overpriced, too!
Abercrombie Hollister Eagle Outfitters can just go and die. Yes, I said it. GO AND DIE.
I feel you should know I had to type “perters” to post this comment.
You’re getting all of the good words today, Thomas.
