Dans le jardin

It’s a beautiful springlike day here…not too warm, not to cool, bit of a breeze.  The elm tree has leafed out earlier than normal this year.

And the lavender is still “Open For Beesness!”

  1. The flowers are lovely! I admit – we’ve had a bit of a warm week (followed by cold again) but – the result has been flowers opening here and there.

So energizing to have those first signs of spring!

  3. ‘Beesness’! Ha! That’s great. Made me laugh.

A lovely day in your garden. I always loved my lavender in winter in So. Cal. Gorgeous weather has descended upon us…not sure how long it will stick around but no one around here is complaining! The day spent in l’Isle sur la Sorgue, on the other hand, had us knocked off our feet several times: le Mistral blew through town defining ‘violent winds’!

  4. It is warm here one day and cold the next. We even have flies! In February. Unbelievable. Pretty pictures.

  5. Isn’t it funny – Sunday was absolutely gorgeous – we took a walk in the mountains – and then BOOM! Monday was grey and chilly and awful. I am taking night courses at SMC (French 2!) and, oh, how chilly and frigid the campus was last night!

  6. we don’t have much of spring here (we basically go straight to summer) but i have noticed many of the deciduous trees are already green with fresh leaves. i love the idea of a spring flower garden!
