WANT those sunglasses!! Photo from here.

Final bit of packing tonight, then it’s an early flight tomorrow…off to the Colorado Rockies for a week of sport d’hiver!

Very exciting news: Tish of A Femme d’un Certain Age has a book deal!!  I’m so happy for her, and very much looking forward to reading it!

Wendy says: Calling All Denim Shirts!

If you’re Cashmere-Curious, LPC reviews some V-necks.

A different kind of Valentine, at La Fourchette S’est Emballée…

And finally, I received a nice note earlier this week from British photographer Jonathan Pryce with a link to his interview with and photographs of Varda Ducovny, an American who lives in Paris. What a fascinating woman! She is an author and psychologist, and also had an early career as a singer. Opened for some guy named “Bobby” Dylan back in the day.  And she has an amazing eye and a beautiful, simple style. Read the interview and watch the video. Wouldn’t you just love to have tea and listen to her tell the stories from her life? And check out Jonathan’s street style blog, Les Garçons de Glasgow.

Bon weekend! I’ll post more from the Snowy Side.

Bit of trivia: Varda Ducovny is also the stepmother of David Duchovny. (His father dropped the “h”.)
    Have a wonderful ski trip!

Heard there’s supposed to be a big snowstorm in the Denver area…hope you get in without any trouble, and that the subsequent skiing is delicious!

Ski photo & “Ski Beaver Creek” poster: so perfect…much prefer today’s puffy/techno ski outfits. Not that I’m a skier or anything. Only ski for fashion.

Are you a loyal Colorado-visitor and will you go to the same place like last year? I still remember your last trip, it was cold, no?
    Have a great week!
