Maggie!
Watch Downton Abbey: The Best Maggie Moments on PBS. See more from Masterpiece.
Too good not to share. Maggie Smith has been absolutely brilliant as the Dowager Countess, even when she doesn’t say a word.

She is cut from the same cloth as my mother.
Just finished watching the Season 2 Christmas finale. . LOVE Maggie—-such a hoot! The whole series is delightful. Thanks for the clip 🙂 jac
I love this!!!
Aw…I thought they’d include the comment about ‘what is a weekend?” in that.
Have to say that on your sense of complete enjoyment of DA, I went ahead and inhaled all of last season and caught up on this season just to see the last 2 episodes “real-time”. LOVE! Please keep things like Maggie Moments coming!!
Love it – her zingers are becoming legendary and her facial expressions are hilarious!
She’s perfect for this role. Mr. HB and I watched the finale twice and really enjoyed it. The behind the scenes footage after the episode with Julien Fellowes and the crew was ieally interesting.
My father’s been in love with Maggie for 40 years:). She is so having the time of her life, no?
Have loved her in everything I’ve seen her in. One of my favorites is Tea with Mussollini.
i HEART maggie smith!!
I can’t wait for next season to see the DC tangle with Cora’s mother who will be played by Shirley McClaine! OMG!
I think I will have to find out how to view this series. I haven’t watched it, but you have interested me now. Thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed this and I also think I might have to seek it out and watch!!
What she can say with just a look is priceless! Can’t wait for Season 3.
LOOOOOOOOVE Dame Maggie. Thank you for this! <3
She’s a great actress. I believe the first time I saw her was in “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie”, a shocking film for its time. She’s been a favorite ever since. The “Downton Abbey” series has made Sunday nights more enjoyable.
Isn’t she lovely??
I simply go nuts about Dowager Comtesse! “Will you promise?”
She is … Maria Callas of the actresses!
