  1. It’s hard to overestimate the value of an attractive cane. My brother has reluctantly used a cane since his stroke 10 years ago and finally ordered one that he likes and is proud to carry. It’s a big boost to him every day to have a great “accessory”.

  2. My sister and I bought one for my 93 year old mom last year at the Santa Monica Art Museum gift shop. She’s been resistant to aids, but finally starting using a cane. At first she wouldn’t use the OMHU outside the house because she was so afraid she’d lose it. But now she uses it all the time because she realizes how much more stable it is than the wobbly drugstore canes. Now if we can just get her to use the walker…… (it’s cobalt blue, very stylish…)

  3. My mother (who falls quite often) could really use one, but she’d never go for it. Very, very stubborn, and seems to be made of some sort of human rubber as she never breaks anything even when she has horrible falls ~ she bounces!

  4. I love the fact that the design is a delight- not just function but there is joy it its form. Congrats to OMHU on finding such a great person/blog to sponsor!
