Or “Terrace With A View” anyway. No complaints!

We arrived yesterday afternoon and immediately set off for The Mothership, also known as Monoprix…

where I picked up a few skin care items and le Monsieur browsed a bit in the food and wine section.

The wifi is a little persnickety here, so I’m going to keep this one short, but will have more photos to share soon. Just one thing, though…it’s true what Tish said about the colorful sneakers. They’re everywhere.

  1. MONOPRIX – That is where Tish and I met in 2009 in Nieully-Sur-Seine. It was for her On-The-Streets articles she was doing at the time. So cherie please tell me where I can still see these bonne mots ? I am still living in Paris 7em and love every minute, but just wish the language wasn’t so difficult. The more I learn the less I know. I have just re-registered to receive your blog as I am in need for more stimulation and good ideas. Un femme…………. hits the right note for me. I shall be posting a photo ID soon. Swan

  2. Pseu et monsieur pseu, also consider a look at HEMA, a Dutch chain that now has a foothold in France, and several stores in and around Paris: http://www.hema.fr They also have good toiletries for an excellent price, and perhaps the cheapest handy item you’ll pick up, “lessive de voyage, for 1€! Cute packaging too. http://www.hema.fr/magasin?searchtext=lessive+de+voyage+200+ml&searchlocation=%2F%2Ffrhema%2Ffr_FR%2Fpfr_product_type%3E{books%3Bexoot%3Bshop}

    bestvintage, nowadays there are many online tools to help you with your French. Type “bonne mots” into this http://www.reverso.net/orthographe/correcteur-francais/ and see what happens!

  3. LOVE the view and I am glad you documented the sneakers…I guess it is time to go shopping…I love it when a comfortable shoe is in style. Can’t wait to here more!

  4. J’adore Monoprix. Are you in the 7th? It’s only a week since I left and I miss Paris already. I bought lots of little travel size products at Monoprix and at the pharmacies. There are so many products that we don’t have at home. It looks like you have the blue skies in Paris. Right now, I’m sitting in Edinburgh airport waiting to travel to Bath. Hope you are enjoying Paris!

  5. No complaints, indeed! Why should there be, when you are clearly in heaven? I am longing, longing. Enjoy it to the fullest, and know that many are enjoying it vicariously through you.

  6. I LOVE Monoprix! What a wonderful trip–I wish I were there too…..
    Alas I’m not a big fan of the colorful sneakers. At least not yet. 😉

  7. Brings back memories… I used to study in Paris but have not been back for ages. Reading your posts makes me think that maybe it’s time to reacquaint myself with Paris…
