Love Child: Converse x Missoni

Chuck x Missoni

My sister emailed yesterday to alert me to the latest high-low designer collaboration. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you….those are Missoni print Chuck Taylors. And yes, they’re still available, but if you’re interested I’d Run Don’t Walk. (In these shoes, you’ll be able to!)

Here’s the whole collection, available now at Nordstrom.com. What do you think of this Love Child…Adorable or Abomination?

  1. I love love love the low tops. I’d run if they weren’t too flat to wear with my arch supports. Darn those things. My feet can ruin an entire look they’re so bad.
Doesn’t hurt to go comb the Nordstrom listings though, does it? 😉

  2. I love the turquoise and black low tops. The high tops just made me laugh. Ohhh…I’d feel so silly in those…like I had someone else’s shoes on…funky for someone younger than me. Or MUCH funkier!

  3. Love it!! I’m giving myself permission to wear funky shoes, even at work. These would do the trick nicely.

  4. Love them! And the black and white geometric low tops are the “fancy” ox chucks with the lower profile. I’ve got a couple pairs of those in solids (gray and black) and they’re not quite as clunky as the original chuck taylors and a bit more flexible and comfy IMO. I live in Texas and I’ve found Chuck Taylors work well for our fall/winter/spring “too hot for boots, wrong season for sandals” weather.

  5. I think they’re adorable but a but pricey for basically, sneakers. Also, I bought a pair of SuperGa’s last summer and wore them about …. twice. I’ve realized that sneakers are just not my lifestyle.

  6. If I’m going to spend big I’d rather look for something else Missoni. Saks Off Fifth had lovely woolen Missoni scarves -fine wool, lovely clear colors- at slightly more than these not that comfortable sneakers, I’d rather go with something like that.
