long and lean jacket
This is a really fabulous longer, not-just-another-blazer jacket. It’s very flattering, can be worn open or zipped, and would work well for a travel wardrobe. The moto styling is subtle enough to go to the Business Casual office, and the cotton knit is lightweight but substantial. I like that the hardware is minimal and dark, so doesn’t compete with jewelry. It’s a fitted piece, and from my try-on experience runs true-to-size. Machine washable! Also available in Plus. (IMO, this is another of those better-in-person-than-in-pictures pieces.)
Updated to add: I’ve received a few inquiries about how it looks unzipped. Found a photo, and another source if the first doesn’t have the size you need.

I agree….I do love this length!
A great piece and a little more fitted than some of her usual pieces which I like because her fabrics are just so luxurious. This is perfect for a short person like me who could do with some elongating and coverage at the hips. Love this choice. I admire Eileen Fisher as she actually created a position in her company for someone who’s job is to monitor all her initiatives to make sure they are standing up to the guidelines of human rights. Great company to work for I also hear.

Ohhh, I had sworn to myself that I would buy neither black nor white clothes anymore, but instead only colors with the tinge of yellow that is more flattering to my skin tones. But I don’t think I can resist.

Oh Dear…is it a blessing or a curse?! Until I started following your blog, I did not know much about Nordstrom’s because we don’t have one in my area. Now the free shipping, free returns and my favorite brands is causing packages to arrive at my door. I suppose I should thank you, but maybe not! My clothing budget is not sure.
There is a second zipper at the bottom, allowing one to unzip from the bottom up in case more room is needed through the hips, not that I, or anyone else reading your blog wold have that concern. It’s resting in my closet now. Will be a great jacket for Texas weather and A/C. Showed the EF saleslady at Nordstrom your blog. She was impressed.
