I’d hoped to have a post up today recapping some of our Las Vegas adventures, but time got away from me. I will have for you tomorrow. In the meantime, I wanted to give a shout out to these platform sandals. I get that they’re not everyone’s cup of tea style-wise. But I love the slightly funky vibe they add to a simple outfit, and they are extremely comfortable. Those criss-cross leather straps on top are “like buttah” and the platform sole is very supportive and cushioned.
On Saturday I was on my feet almost all day, and we logged probably a few miles walking. My feet were as happy at the end of the day as at the beginning. And I received several compliments on these.

I love your shoes here. They are bold and but don’t look heavy, and they are kind.
I bought these sandals in black last year and became so obsessed with their comfort and style that I also ended up buying the nude pair and the pewter pair. My daughter thinks I have a problem, but I notice she’s always trying to borrow them from my wardrobe and she’s 20 and very stylish (like her mom!) I plan to wear them all summer again. Definitely worth the investment. Eileen makes the most comfortable shoes and clothes.

I have a pair of ‘Frida’ in silver and can vouch that they are extremely comfortable as well as smart.
I don’t generally comment here (but I enjoy your posts) and I have to say – I never, ever wear sandals, ever (not least because my toes are generally pretty battered from various gym activities) but I am this close to getting a pair of these. I might actually be willing to invest a little bit of time in foot care to wear them.

Hi Nancy, thanks! I almost packed these Eileen Fisher sandals for the trip, but left them home as they were just a bit bulky. Comfort-wise, I think they would have been fine. They are flatter than the Mephistos which have a slight wedge, and the M’s also have the cork footbed, adjustable straps and absorbent insole. But these are very cushy and I walked all day in them on a warm day in Las Vegas without any discomfort.
