modern tie-dye

Yes, you can wear tie-dye without looking like you just wandered in from a Grateful Dead concert circa 1972 (or 1992, for that matter). 😉  What I like about these tie-dye prints is that they’re modern while being a bit softer than a take-no-prisoners graphic print.

  1. Love a blue and white top. So fresh and flattering. I’m currently in love with the tunic styles. Just have to watch the length, as I’m shorter than average.

  2. I love all these, especially that scarf–which I think is more of a reference to the ancient Japanese art of ikat dyeing than tie dye. Hmm, I wonder if ikat was an inspiration for the original tie dyeing?

  3. Tie dye! I would have said, “Not again!”, but I like the new tie dye. I’ll take the blue & white one, and most certainly the black & white with the long tail. What a fresh new take

  4. I’ve been seeing more Karen Kane in my local thrift shop lately. There’s hasn’t been anything yet that’s right for me, but if something like this came in, I’d be sorely tempted. Great looks.

  5. I just picked up a really cute blue and white tie dye sleeveless top at New York & Co….for $24!! I think it will look great with blue or white denim (any length). A great way to test-drive this look and see if it’s for me.
