Shopping Les Soldes In Paris…

long-sleeved top with lace insetsYes, we’ve done a little bit. Le Monsieur picked up some shoes, and I might have found a thing or two. My favorite so far is this top from Sandro, which is also available in the U.S., and also on sale online!

  1. On the 14th, the shops in Carcassonne were open in the center of town–highly unusual on a holiday. Hundreds of thousands of people (half a million, officials estimated) had come to this city of under 50,000 to see the fireworks, and in the hours before, they shopped. Me, too. I got two pair of the most PERFECT pants for traveling. Both are very full, palazzo-style, and made of very lightweight polyester that feels like parachute silk. One pair, a khaki green, has cargo pockets, as well as waist pockets (I approve of pants pockets!!!!). They are smooth, and after washing, I hung them to dry and they were wrinkle-free!!! The other pair is black and crinkly, with hidden slash pockets only, and a dramatic bow tie. Super comfortable, no need to iron, lightweight, extremely classy. I got them at Mango. And they were half-off. SCORE!
