(Dreaming Of) Autumn In Paris
No, I’m not really in Paris now, but I planned ahead with these fall outfit photos.
Wearing: earrings | coat | necklace | necklace | jeans (similar) |
bracelet (similar) | bag | boots (similar look)
The coat and boots are both from one of the Sandro stores in Paris, purchased on our visit in July. (I feel compelled to mention that I paid less for the coat in the store than what it’s listed for online here. Not sure why the discrepancy.) The boots were on sale and are no longer available. There’s currently a Friends & Family 25% off promotion at Sandro with code FF25, ends tonight.
But sometimes dreams come true…even Paris dreams. I’m going back to Paris in early December for a week!!! I’ll be checking out the holiday season in my favorite city, and meeting up with some blogger friends. Stay tuned…

Great look! The proportions of the coat. The studs on the boots. Very Parisian–special but not blingy.
When are you going? I’ll be there the 2nd to the 9th…
hugs,
Janice
4th to 12th…we must meet up!!!!:-D
Tres chic, Susan. (That’s about the extent of my French.) That truly is a fabulous outfit. And lucky you, a week in Paris. Looking forward to the posts. I will be in Boston that week. Not exactly Paris, but one of my favorite American cities.
What a great coat ! I love that menswear styling, you carry it off so well. I peeked on the website and was amused that they described the coats ability to ‘carry you thru the cold of winter” . I wish! I would need to bundle a down puffer over top..
I love that allee of linden trees you are standing between! So beautiful, where is that?
Hi Meg, thanks! That’s toward the south end of the Jardin du Luxembourg in the 6th.
The Christmas market stalls will be open then on the Champs Elysee up towards the Place de la Concorde. Not a bad place to pick up a scarf or two or three.
That coat is amazing!
Love the coat and those boots. Paris twice in a year….retirement may be suiting you, eh?
Love you in the necklaces.
You’ll be arriving just after we leave . . . (December 3rd, so close. . . ).
You look SO BEAUTIFUL and SO HAPPY. Those boots are great and the coat is inspiring. Thank you for beauty and joy!
You said it first.
I am so looking forward to it and taking some great photos
Paris in the winter is fun. Stay warm.
Susan, this is the first time I have commented, although I have been following you for over a year. You look much better in the Sandro coat than the model in the advertisement! From Karen in Melbourne, Australia
Love your coat and boots. I bought a coat and some shoes at Joseph in Paris this summer. Sandro, Joseph and a few other brands are definitely less money there – not sure why either. So happy for you that you’re going back this fall.
How fun! You look simply amazing.
We leave for Paris the Saturday after Thanksgiving and will be coming back on the 3rd of December. Just a quickie trip to attend the Avant Premiere of Demain Tout Commence, a film that Bonaparte’s cousin directed. It stars the great Omar Sy. I can’t wait. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get some Christmas shopping done!
That coat is epic!!
That masculine pinstriped overcoat is smashing!
bisous
Suzanne
Great outfit! Love that coat! I wish I was going to Paris! I have been lucky enough to go once, Such a beautiful city!
Thanks, Linda!
Hi Susan, your blog is done so well… good information, lovely photos, and always “food for thought.” I am selfishly hoping that you will post your December travel wardrobe to Paris. My husband I will be there early Decmeber for a week as well. This will only be my third trip to Paris…the last was with 19 kids, and 4 other adults. Yes, it was a high school trip. So much fun, BUT this trip will be very different… Jazz clubs, cooking class, and museums. Thanks for such a great blog!
Hi robyn, thanks! I’m actually working on this now to have posted next week.:-)
Oh that pinstripe overcoat is amazing, and you look so delighted to be wearing it! xox
