Les Cadeaux: Comfort And Joy
Clockwise from upper left: Gloves // Sweater // Flask // Lotions // Slippers // Hot Cocoa.
While the weather outside may or may not be “frightful,” for many of us in the Northern Hemisphere, there’s no doubt that winter has arrived. The chilly weather has me thinking of gifts to help keep friends and loved ones warm and cozy.
While some of these ideas may not be the most clever or unique that you’ll see on the web, I’m trying to stay focused on gifts that will be welcome and used. I know that many of us are trying to avoid mindless consumption this (and every) season and have tried to offer suggestions accordingly.

The cable sweater looks delightful, and I think I’ll gift myself with some luxurious hand creams – I am hooked on them! We don’t exchange gifts in our families, but I still enjoy your collections.
Thank you so much for joining us for “How I Wear My: Red”. I loved that striped red scarf you are wearing. It’s perfect on you! XO, Jill
Jill, thanks! I’ll be featuring that scarf tomorrow in a tutorial.
Here in the deep south, I am wearing my shearling slippers, a cashmere sweater, and a faux shearling vest. I am INDOORS. It’s so cold.
I vote for shearling slippers (not faux) or boiled wool slippers.
I’m giving my mother a down comforter from Cuddledown.com. She is 90 years old and getting very cold natured. I like down comforters because they give warmth without undue weight. We use the summer weight comforter in our warm climate even in the wintertime. I got the same for her. We may be having an unusually cold winter in Texas!
Greetings! I just spotted your blog on an IFB post and thought I’d stop by .. I’m also in Calif (San Diego) .. so cold right now!
Looking forward to reading more of your posts.

Just saw you on the red post…I love the scarf and it looks so great with you hair!
It’s 82 degrees in Florida, and I have no idea what to wear. No sweaters needed here!
I’m in New England, and we’re just beginning to get snow, unfortunately. I was hoping autumn would go on forever. No such luck. You’ve hit on a lot of my faves: the products from L’Occitane & Kiehl’s, and love that long sleeve red poncho/sweater, so unique! I’ve got a purple cashmere v neck, much like the one you’re showing, that I’ve gotta find buried in my closet. Very nice gift possibilities and a nice cozy feeling!

Hmm, not sure my comment went through. Quick recap: It’s getting cold here in the NE US too, tho’ I had hoped that autumn would last forever. Love your gift list that included many of my faves: L’Occitane and Kiehl’s, and the purple v neck similar to one I have buried in my winter clothes closet. Also love the innovative red sweater/poncho, very cute! Your post was warm and cozy!

The texting gloves must have a place in my life. So many wonderful gift ideas for someone who has not been making my list and checking it twice.
