Les Fleurs
While I appreciate the ease of No-Brainer dressing, sometimes it’s fun to play a bit more and build an outfit around a specific piece in my closet. This Zara jacket was from last summer, and while I don’t wear it as often as some of my solid jackets, I do enjoy the pop it adds to a simple outfit.
I wanted to find a backdrop with a lot of flowers to complement the jacket, but as we’re in a severe drought, much of the vegetation around here is looking a bit parched. While I was taking pictures, the breeze picked up (as you can see from my hair) and the sky definitely had a “rain possible” look to it; sure enough later that evening the light rain started and continued through to the next morning.
Jacket: Zara from last year, similar // Tee: Eileen Fisher // Jeans: AG “The Stilt” // Necklaces: French Kande, from the new collection here and here // Shoes: Sole Society from last year. Same style in different colors (runs small, size up 1/2 to full size).
*one the many great lines from one of my favorite movies. Can you name it?

Love the outfit – specially the Zara jacket and the red shoes. So pretty.
I love these shoes with this jacket! Great job…you look lovely in this style!
The Philadelphia Story! Love that movie too. Great look and fabulous necklaces to complete it.
Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, too. xo
The jacket is a definite 10, it deserves more time out of the closet!
Love the outfit and the necklaces are really great, especially layered as you have them.
Love the whole outfit…but those shoes are terrific.
I really like your style choices. I’m going to head over to the necklace site. Those are incredibly gorgeous! Have a great week!
This is one of my favourite looks on you! Gorgeous!!!
That’s such a lovely jacket – looks great with jeans and the red shoes.
Great outfit. I must try the layered necklace look, thanks for the inspiration.
I LOVE the jacket. Must make one for myself!
Florals can go tacky very easily if not done right, and that jacket is oh-so-right! It’s floral without being in-your-face or Laura Ashley 90’s nightmarish. The shoes are to die for, too!

My favorite of any look I have seen on you. Color is GREAT on you– playful and enlivening. Also, accessorizing with those necklaces and shoes gives you a completely individual and striking look.
I absolutely love your style – and this outfit might be one of my favorites!
I have such a thing for this jacket. Looks lovely on you, and the shoes are right up my alley. So happy to hear you had some rain … I’m sending some ours to you kids out home.
I’m such a fan of red shoes as outfit accents. That jacket is fabulous, too. Very nice look!
Why,oh why do you not wear more colors like this! En years younger ,girl!
This is great dressing and proof that simple is elegant. I love the laid back with the statement floral jacket. It speaks quietly, and yet powerful at the same time.
I love this outfit on you. i have a similar pattern blazer that I don’t wear often but really do like it. Really liked how you layered these necklaces.

Well it is so nice to see you in colors!! I have to admit that the black everywhere does no favors
Great outfit – love this look on you, especially those shoes! In the past year I have discovered Ann Taylor LOFT as a great source for tall jeans and skirts. They only carry the tall sizes on line, but the combination of their “tall” and “curvy” fits has become a favorite of mine. Old Navy also has tall sizes on line, as does Ann Taylor.
Very flattering colour on you.
That jacket is such a dream, my dear friend, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thank you sooooooooooooooo much for joining and sharing your style with us.

What a great outfit! The colors are so flattering on you. I am seriously coveting everything French Kande. Located a shop that carries the line in one of our Fall vacation destinations, so I’ll be checking it out in person soon. Also wanted to mention that I recently was perusing your Pinterest page and was surprised when I saw you with red hair (I’m a new follower). It was fun, but you look like you were born to be a blonde! Love the current style and color – it really suits you.
Love the blazer! There was a pencil skirt with it and I still regret not buying it last year!
It is a gorgeous floral print and dresses up jeans so well.

This is a lovely jacket…the best floral I’ve seen in awhile!
Great jacket! This is a nice change, but still very much ‘you’.
Just perfect! Love everything about this look – colour combination, accessories, styling.
Love this look! I always liked florals and am a huge fan of Zara, so a winner! I like to see women style denim and this is a great look espceially with those hot red shoes!
