Les sports d’hiver
Aprés-ski heaven by deja pseu on Polyvore.com
We’re off tomorrow for a week of skiing and other winter fun. I enjoy a good day out on the mountain, but especially when followed with a nice warm beverage by a roaring fire.

Have fun! I find I sleep so well afer outdoor cold weather activity, do you?
metscan, what you describe sounds like symptoms of what we here call Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD- isn;t that a perfect acronym?
Have a lovely time, Pseu — enjoy the cold! Nice to be able to visit it and then leave it behind.
Apres-ski is my favorite part! Have a wonderful time.
ooh those boots again!
Have a wonderful time!
Miss J hopes Miss Pseu has a lovely time. She has a pic of the scarf you gave her over at her site. Thanks again for that!
Have a grand time. Like your apres ski gear — always so important for Une Femme of your elegance.
Will miss you. Don’t forget your major SPF product for all that sun glistening off the slopes.
You’ll be missed.
Enjoy your time in the snow “Une” and am sure you will be looking tres chic in the apres ski department too…
Enjoy the snow, skiing and other winter activities on your vacation! Living in a winter wonderland, especially during this winter, has made me numb for all the fun parts. I just heard news, that long, cold weather increases the time needed for sleeping. No wonder, that I took a nap yesterday ( strange for me ). Although I sleep more than usual, I don´t feel very cheerful in the morning.
Duchesse: A very suitable name! This was some kind of new research information over here, heard from the national news. It was mentioned, that even a long sleep is not as relaxing during the cold weather time. Something to do with the phases of sleep.Maybe it is just what you wrote about.
metscan – we definitely sleep more when we’re on our ski vacation, but I attribute that to a combination of lots of fresh air and outdoor activity.
Duchesse – thanks! Yes, I tend to sleep very well after a day of playing in the snow.
materfamilias – yes, and it’s also nice to visit the snow in an environment where no shovelling is required of me!
Rita – thanks! I’ll have a Jaegertea for you.
That’s Not My Age – oh, how I wish I’d actually bought those boots when they were available last year…
LPC – thanks!
Miss Janey – you wear that scarf very well; it suits you!
Tish Jett – I’m afraid my aprés-ski ensembles aren’t quite so elegant. I’ll try to post a bit during the week.
Semi-Expat – thanks! Fortunately the atmosphere is mostly on the casual side at this resort. It’s not like Aspen.
I’m very curious as to where you are visiting as I live full time in a ski resort town (where thankfully I do not have to shovel). Please share?
itatru – Beaver Creek, CO. We love skiing there!
Love your taste in après ski. J’espère que vous avez un grand temps!
hard to imagine snow when it is so hot here! Have fun.
Snow and sun…and no commuting mess! Sounds great. Enjoy the excursions and the relaxing.
