Enfin, je presente les chaussures oranges!

After one false start and some patience and effort, they’re here!  No “strict” shoes, these.

This pair of Fluevog “Coffee Macchiato’s” are apparently the ONLY pair in this color and my size that were shipped to any US Fluevog store.  Lovely Sales Associate Bree from the LA store tracked them down for me and ordered them shipped from the NY store.  A week later they arrived on my doorstep; I opened the box and….they’d sent the wrong style!  Bree got right on the phone and rectified with the NY store, and had the correct pair sent.  (If you live in the US and are looking for a particular pair of Fluevogs, give Bree a call at 323-951-9555.  She’s a shoe angel!)

I picked up on Saturday (returned the wrong pair to the LA store), and am head over sculpted 3″ heels for these shoes!  Not only is the color just as bright as you see in the top pic, but they look amazing on, and are un.be.lieve.ably comfortable!  They feel really good, seriously.  The straps hug the top of the foot nicely (and each one is adjustable for a custom fit), the arch support is great and the design is well balanced so they really don’t feel as high as 3″.  I also had a chance to look at the black and taupe colors in this style while I was at the store.  Both are also fabulous options if you like the style but prefer a more neutral color.

Alas, I can’t wear today as we have rain in the forecast, but tomorrow these babies make their debut!  I almost hate to get these soles dirty, though!

Orange ‘Vogs, how do I love thee?  Let me count the ways….

  1. Those are really cool shoes. I may have to try some. I love the polyvore’s you put together. i just put two shoe storage stackable cubes in my closet and my husband said ” you have that many shoes?” Ha Ha , I said I am a female what do you expect. So these heels are really easy to walk in?

  2. As you know, I’ve got these in black and can testify to their comfort — I’ve walked quite a few kilometres in them with no problem. My sister was sorely tempted by these orange ones, but sadly, she’s just in between sizes and couldn’t get the fit she wanted. So once again, you’ll have to be my Fluevog shoe sister! I love the way you’re putting them together with your wardrobe for a twist already.

  3. WOW!!!!!!

Fab French look you created with the mariniere. Wish you could walk toward my camera as a femme francaise on the street.

Maybe next year. Don’t forget your shoes.

  4. Yes, I have a feeling these shoes agreed to go on a blind date with Strict and then never came back from the women’s room. Tsk tsk but somehow one takes the side of Orange….

Love the mix with the classic stripes/jeans.

I’m thinking they could be fun worn with the more muted oranges etc in that scarf I never got around to commenting on (from your trip to Granville Island). <--- Vix Family sentence construction, but you know what I mean

  5. Wow, I love them. This is the twist you’ve been looking for. They are incredibly foot flattering and a great color for you to boot!

  6. OMG. I adore these. Truly I’m so jealous. Comfortable at 3″? Huh? I’ve sworn off heels over 2.5… maybe I will try? Never had ‘vogs but I’m totally coveting your shoes!

  7. Wow, they’re dazzling! I’ve been eyeing the Fluevog site for a while now. Do you find this style fits true to size?

  8. Love the shoes! I’m so glad you managed to track them down. It is so much fun to watch you putting the “twist” back in your wardrobe.

  9. Well, these shoes really are different! A great color and model for you. The label is unknown to me. I believe that this color is great in warm climate areas, where colors are plentiful! And what´s best: If they feel right, all is right.

  10. Those are crazy gorgeous, so whimsical! And they would be a great ‘twist’ to the strict that you so often follow. Sublime!

  11. Fabulous shoes! Soooooo flattering, and such a great color for you — and I love the address you put together with them. Hope you have lots of fun in them.

  12. Wowweee!

I love Fluevog styles. But I have not been as successful with them as I could wish. I have two pairs of Fluevogs with nice 1″ heels, both good shoes for work – they are good with slack, but have just a bit of an edgy vibe to them. But the black pair is just a little too big for me – it flaps when I walk.

And I have a beautiful pair of turquoise and gold slingback pumps of his that I adore, that fit perfectly and look great …..except the sling is cut all wrong and doesn’t stay on my heel.

Fore me, Fluevog always represents a kind of yearning for perfection that still eludes me.

  13. Well, normally I dassapprove of high heels, but I would make an exception for those orange beauties. As you said, the straps help to hold your foot, so the heel height is easier to wear.

  14. I LOVE orange! Those are great. Finally ordered my own Fluevogs – the Earl of Warwick Montagu boots – and can’t wait for them to arrive!

  15. Love, love, love! I’m always on the lookout for comfortable shoes with style. Unfortunately, I can’t bring myself to spend more than $10 on a pair that can’t be worn with absolutely EVERYTHING. I believe that means I am not a true shoe person. Guilty as charged. But they are still gorgeous.

  16. Love the shoes and the Polyvore set! Those look like they are very wearable (not something you’d automatically think of with “orange 3 inch heels!). I have a pair of green Operetta pumps and they are really comfortable too.

  17. Another item that is just perfect for you! I see them on your feet and they are really flattering. Glad they worked out!

  18. Thanks, everyone! I’m wearing the shoes today and will post the entire ensemble tomorrow.

    To answer some questions:

    1. They do seem to run true to size. It’s true that Fluevogs aren’t always consistent with sizing between styles.

    2. While I probably wouldn’t wear these for an entire day on my feet, or where I needed to cover a lot of ground quickly, they are quite walkable for this amount of heel (my absolute maximum).

  19. I have a pair of Fluevog Coffee shoes (the “Sumatra Coffee”) and it’s almost a crime to walk on that glorious sole! They are super comfy!

I love your orange ones – I’m going on my annual pilgrimage to the nearest Fluevog store next month, and yours are one of the pairs I’d considered.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Nice to see you. 🙂
