Ah Sue, this is a great reminder! Thank you!
My late father was a jazz musician in the thirties, forties, and fifties. He also played many shows before settling into a full time position as a percussionist with the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Judy Garland was one of his favorite singers. He told me that nobody could belt out those songs like Judy. Her voice and personality were unique and will never be replaced. Along with Fred Astaire, Errol Flynn, and Cary Grant; Judy will hold a permanent place in entertainment history. I only wish I could have seen her in person as my father said film could not contain the largeness of her voice.
I forgot Bette Davis.
What a talent, such a beauty — gone so soon. Thanks for sharing this.
Those words are a good reminder. Thank you.
Utter Gospel. I had no idea it was from Judy.
Have a great evening.
LOVE THIS! Did not know that Judy Garland said it! Thanks!
Pity Judy did not take her own advice 🙁
@lady jicky – It’s a sad thing, but I do think that addiction can make people lose sight of their true selves.
