Shiny Shoe Haiku
(Ma soeur, who sometimes comments as “citizen spot” is wickedly funny and reads the blog. She composed these haikus last night and they were too good not to share.)
Metal open toes
Penny slots at casino
Drinks are free all day
The light burns my eyes
Is it the Apocalypse?
No, just shiny shoes
The red carpet burns
Her bright shiny shoes don’t care
They reflect the heat

I thought a Haiku had to be about nature?
All three are terrific.
Such a clever way to wrap up yesterday’s sentiments. Your sister is quite talented. Never have been able to write a Haiku.
Very well done Citizen Spot!
so good! I enjoyed these, thanks.
Yes, that haiku with these shoes? Jackpot.
Love this. Actually didn’t know what a haiku was. wish I could write that that. Awesome post and great looking shoes.
I’m stuck on “Drinks are free all day.”
I am too wordy to master such a succinct medium. But I love them. And shiny shoes.
I don’t write haikus, but your friend’s poems make me wish I did. I love all three, and the shoes, too!
The Chanel purse looks great being worn as a clutch, however, I also find Chanel to be rather “formal” and dressy, rendering it less than useful when one dresses in a more casual style. I do however, remain besotted about the classic padding and stitching on CC’s bags!
Your shoes are awesome, just the right height! I was lucky enough to find similar mid heel shoes on sale at Spitz in Cape Town, much to my delight! Love the cut of your jeans, they fit very well.

You sister’s haiku are a treat. 🙂
My sole shoe haiku, while not about reflective surfaces, does pay tribute to the spark in my heart ignited by our mutual friend, John Fluevog:
long for you in blue
oh four hundred dollar shoes
cold wind through wallet
