Les Cadeaux: Gifts For Travelers
So here we go…the entire internet is going to be clamoring for your attention for the next few days. I have a few gift guides planned, but with the intention of locating and suggesting those items that are truly useful rather than just fun and splashy (though still with a bit of color, beauty and occasional wit). If there’s anyone in particular on your gift list who’s particularly challenging, let me know and I’ll see what I can rustle up. Next Friday I’ll have a “Help Me Find A Gift For…” post with your requests (please also give me budget).
It’s true, I have travel on the brain these days. I’ve found that the right luggage and travel equipment can be crucial to comfortable and (relatively) hassle-free travel. If there’s anyone on your gift list who travels for business or pleasure, frequently or occasionally, do check out some of these selections below.

I am like a crow when I spy a silver case like the one here by Bobbi Brown. There are so many tempting gifts in the shops at this time of year it really is a challenge not to blow the budget.
Happy shopping!
Hmm, the Longchamp bag looks perfect for NYC. Lovely picks, Une Femme.
Great choices that give me itchy feet! Talbots’ (I like their jeans) have 50% on first item and 40% on rest. Eric Bompard have 20% off (on 20 selected items only) till Dec. 2.
Lovely! I’d add a few more – light weight scoop neck 3/4 sleeve silk underwear. Can be worn under street clothes on those cold rainy days. Or how about a pair of stylish waterproof boots? A collapsible water bottle? Or a sleeping mask that is manufactured so that your eyelashes don’t touch the mask? Or maybe a silnylon packing cube set?
Hi ladylighttravel, those are all great ideas! Let me do some research and see what I can find.
Great picks. I love that Christmas ornament you showed! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Here in northern Europe, a down coat can be worn throughout the year.
Lighter ones half a year, thicker ones the other half.
I too prefer a foldable umbrella!
Wonderful suggestions. Thanks much. Especially love the teeny Airstream ornament. We have a vintage (’85 Sovereign) Airstream. Perfect 🙂 ! Have a great weekend.
