I’m 59 today. I don’t believe in being coy about my age, but rather view every year as a victory. 😉 My ideal birthday gift, bien sur, would be a trip to Paris. But as that isn’t in the cards for a few months, let’s take an imaginary visit together…

I’m happy for you that you discovered Paris and seem to be having many opportunities to visit one of my favorite cities. Between the ages of 35 and 60, I visited Paris many, many times until fate intervened. The great thing about Paris is that it remains in your mind and in your heart even if you cannot physically be there.

  18. Happy Birthday, I know how you feel, I will turn 58 on April 1st. Paris is my favorite place on earth. I was fortunate enough to spend 4 days there last summer, by myself, just wandering around and enjoying the city. It was heavenly, as are these photos.
