Checking In…
Just woke up and heard about the horrible attack in Nice. We’re fine, as far as we’re aware, everything in Paris is peaceful. We watched the fireworks last night from our balcony and then went to sleep. From what I’ve read, the Nice attack occurred at the conclusion of their fireworks/celebration.
Above was a scene from last night about an hour before the Paris fireworks started.
We’re going out as planned today, but our hearts are heavy for the people of Nice.

So glad to hear, Susan. I’ve been enjoying your posts and remembered you were in FR when I heard the news. Prayers for your continued safe travels.
I too enjoy your posts and immediately thought of you. Our prayers go out to all involved and for your safety
Tyranny struck on the day France celebrates its liberation from tyranny.
So glad you are safe, Susan. I thought of you last night and checked your Twitter feed. Such a tragic event.
So grateful both for your update and your safety. My heart goes out to the city of Nice, and the people of France. Prayers.
Such a cruel and senseless act! I’m glad that you are safe.
Please stay safe! It is hard to make sense of the world today…thank you for posting, relieved to learn that you both are continuing with your plans…they will not scare us away!
Heavy hearts all around. My thoughts are with France today. xox

Thank you for the update. I also saw the news and immediately thought of you. My prayers go out to the people of Nice and enjoy your day today.
It is yet another very sad day for France.
bisous

Thanks for letting us know. I was concerned for you. It’s so sad.
I know that view; love that café.
Glad that all is well in Paris. Oddly enough, when I heard the news, I thought, “I wish that I was in France.” Maybe just to show solidarity with and sympathy for the country that I consider my second home, who knows.
I’ll keep coming back. These attacks can (and unfortunately, do) happen anywhere.
Glad you are far far away from Nice. I long for the days of safe travel.
Susan, I’ve been enjoying your posts from England and now France. I also thought of you when the terrible news from Nice broke here. I’m glad that you and your Monsieur are safe and that you are having a good time in Paris. Vive la France…toujours!
Be safe.
