Because Who Doesn’t Love Something Pretty?

My Stylish French Box from Sharon Santoni

Those of you who follow Sharon Santoni’s lovely blog, My French Country Home, may be aware that Sharon launched a special project this year. Sharon’s passion is sourcing beautiful, unique French items for the home, both old and new, and she has found a way to share that passion with us. My Stylish French Box is a quarterly subscription box full of treasures that Sharon has sourced and hand-picked. Some are antiques, some are limited editions available only to subscribers, and all are a delight.

My box arrived with perfect timing; it was like receiving a very special Birthday gift from France.

contents: My Stylish French Box

The first box included a handmade demitasse cup, three antique liqueur glasses, beautiful soaps from Fragonard, a luxury scented candle and wax cameo (perfect for stashing in your lingerie drawer), two notebooks with gorgeous antique Paris prints on the covers, a collectible watercolor print and notecards (a bonus for annual subscribers), and imprinted pencils that remind us to slow down and “take time.” A lovely reminder!

My living room smelled wonderful for hours after opening my box, and I’ve been burning that candle daily, a little luxury that always puts me in a good mood. The first box has sold out, but you can still sign up for the next My Stylish French Box, which will be sent out in May. I can’t wait to see what Sharon will select for the next one! I think these boxes would also be lovely gifts.

pink camellia

My camellia bushes are blooming. We don’t get to enjoy them as much as we might as they’re tucked away along the far side of the house, but it’s a cool, moist, shady spot that they love.

It’s almost officially Spring, and a woman’s thoughts turn to….new lippie!

Chantecaille Lip Chic Tuberose

I’ve been a fan of Chantecaille Lip Chic for a while now. It’s moisturizing, lasts a good long time, and the colors are sheer and easy to wear. New-for-Spring color Tuberose is a pretty, warm pink that adds some vibrance without being too “lipstick-y.”

Chantecaille Lip Chic also available at:
Bloomingdales | Net-a-Porter | Saks | bluemercury

What pretty things are lifting your spirits this week?

Disclosure: the first My Stylish French Box was a gift from Sharon Santoni.

  1. Beautiful! I just subscribed to her posts earlier this week — and I’ve enjoyed her book on my coffee table. This is a wonderful gift for Francophile friends.

  2. Can you direct me to one of your photos where you’re wearing the new Chantecaille lip color? I’m interested purchasing one of their lipsticks, but we don’t have a Nordstrom’s close by so I would like to see an actual photo of this on someone. Thanks!

      1. Would you mind mentioning it when you post a photo wearing it? I plan to order one of the colors online after I see how it looks on you.
