Transitional Season Dressing: The Lightweight Jacket
Yes, I know we’re smack in the middle of summer, but “pre-fall” is a very short retail season and often has some of the best pieces. So if I waited until September to show this to you, it would likely be gone.
A longer, lightweight jacket that’s Not Black has become my wardrobe Holy Grail. In Southern California, it’s a multi-season piece. I really like the color; it’s rich and makes a statement. It’s a bit brighter than the wool jacket I showed you last week. The fabric is a cotton blend with a rumpled texture and a slight sheen. It’s washable, too!
I’m 5’1″ and wearing the XS.
I really like the blue-greens in these stone beads against the “paprika” color of the jacket. These are both from French Kande from prior seasons, and still available. You can select from a choice of medallions on the necklace. I wear this bracelet often.
When I last checked, these shoes were still available, although in limited sizes. But if you’re interested and they’re out of your size, do keep checking back. Returns Happen.
What types of pieces are you always on the lookout for?
