All About The Jewelry…

I’ve been feeling rather out of sorts with my wardrobe lately. I’m in a summer style rut. I’m not even bothering to post the rest of this outfit because it feels so Been There Done That.

Thank goodness for some great accessories! The necklace and bracelets are all gifted from French Kande. To celebrate their 7th birthday, French Kande is offering a limited edition stretch bracelet for only $7 with any purchase of $225 or more. Enter code LUCKY7 at checkout. This offer is valid until August 31.

  1. I love wearing vintage pieces (I grew up in the antique trade) or something my jeweler-father made, or Native American pieces either as the “show pony” of the outfit or as part of a mixed pattern outfit where such pieces are accents or follow a color theme. They cheer me. Lots of older JCrew pieces fit my aesthetic too like the “critter” necklaces with glass beads or really any of the glass bead necklaces which were offered in such great colors.
I think these FK pieces do add an elegant and intentional element to a simple color story here… doesn’t look like a rut to me, even if it feels like such to you!

  2. I have several necklaces from the glass-jewelry designers Marina and Susanna Sent of Venice, Italy. They have a modern, bold aesthetic that makes even a very plain outfit look intentional and stylish.

  3. I hear ya when it comes to ruts, so when I’m feeling that I’m wearing the same ol’ same ol’ I go out and buy myself a bright spot of color that I know flatters me, be it a scarf or a silky shirt. It lifts my spirits that day and usually any day that I feel labored about “what to wear” yet again. I don’t have a wide color range (had my colors done years ago, and I’m a winter) but reds and pinks work with my usual navy or grey neutrals. One thing that never changes is the silhouette, long over lean, and I will never tuck, not even half tuck as I am very short waisted. Would be nice to change that up but alas, I am what I am. Try a color or a print that’s out of your comfort zone but will “go with” your basics. Good luck and happy hunting!

  4. Accessories for style doldrums? My black pointy bad-ass booties. They are my only remedy but they are in sick bay now. Gaaaa! I love your French Kande pieces and that bag, oh yes.

  5. I am still contemplating one of these necklaces. Hard to choose. I am thinking indigo and brass but couldn’t find one I loved. I will look further. And that leopard bag…. so good. You have the best bags.
