Sifting Through The Year-End Sales

I’ve always loved this week between Christmas and New Year’s. The pre-Christmas rush is over, family and friends are still in town, gatherings are spontaneous and relaxed, and there are lots of yummy leftovers to enjoy. (Our yummy leftovers are all takeout this year, but no less enjoyable.) It’s the part of the season I look forward to most.

The year-end sales are on, and can be a good opportunity to save on some seasonal items like outerwear, boots, and accessories. I don’t know about you, but I’m disinclined to go fight crowds at the shops again, so am perusing the sales online. I’ve found a few substantially discounted pieces that might be worth checking out…

Above, from the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale, this subtle check tweed coat is 40% off. I like the asymmetrical snap closure and soft structure. I don’t need another coat, but if I did this one would be on my short list.

At Home And On The Road
