A Few Spring Finds
Although I’m in “prepping for travel” mode, I wanted to share a few good things for the season that have crossed my path lately.
Above, I picked up this jacket in black a few weeks ago, and have been wearing it quite a bit recently. (You’ll see it tomorrow in an outfit post.) I’ve just ordered one in light grey as a non-black jacket option. Don’t let the double-breasted styling scare you off; worn open it’s actually quite flattering with the deep, collarless v-neck. The fabric drapes well and passes my “scrunch” test for wrinkle-resistance, so it’s a contender for my travel wardrobe.
Also under consideration for the travel wardrobe, this linen/rayon shirt with a sailboat print. It’s interesting enough to wear on its own, but also soft and lightweight enough to layer underneath a sweater.
If your style leans a little more boho but you don’t like crisp fabrics, here’s a nice soft tee with fun embroidery. (Also available in red.)
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I liked my white sneakers so much that I bought a pair in this pewter metallic. (Think I’m going to replace those white laces with some dark grey ones, though.) Now just trying to decide which color (white or metallic) will be going into the suitcase…
Trying to find comfortable shoes that will go from day to dinner and that aren’t black is always a challenge. A slightly pointed toe and subtle metallic finish makes these loafers a refined yet relaxed choice. Yes, they’re from Paul Green so are very comfortable! (Go ½ size down from your usual PG size…these run large.)
And finally, a bit of whimsy. I saw a woman carrying this bag a few days ago, and had to find out what it was. It has such a Jane Birkin-esque vibe. It’s on the smaller side, but has both a top handle and crossbody strap. Adorable!
Have you added any fun Spring or Summer pieces to your wardrobe lately?

I love all of these items.
That was so funny! I saw the jacket and immediately decided that I didn’t like the double-breasted style, and I scrolled down a little further and you said not to let this eliminate this jacket. You know how we women think very well! Great choices!
Sneakers can be a playful addition, especially in something like metallic. Good to see you open to adventurous choices.
Love the soft look of the jacket, also loved the look with the pants, just wish the pants weren’t cropped. Want to see your photos when wearing the double breasted jacket.
Love the metallic sneakers and loafers, it adds a touch of thought to an outfit even when running around on errands.
I dont want, i NEED that crossbody basket.
I loved the jacket until I saw it was poly – and ugh, I hate anything poly. Any natural fiber options?
There are a few, but you’ll be hard pressed to find good quality natural fibers at this price point. If you check out today’s outfit post, I’ve listed a few options at the bottom of the post.
Susan,
Just had to tell you that I just purchased the Pot de Miel bag after it had been sold out for a while. It was a treat to myself. The long shoulder strap is sold out but I can wait. The bag arrived yesterday and I have used it today. It is so cute. I love it! Thank you for watching out for super cute items. You are my style sherpa.
