It’s Ba-a-a-ack…

Our favorite boatneck 3/4 sleeve tee at Talbots! In new colors for fall!

Update: I stopped by my local Talbot’s yesterday to see if these were in yet, and wanted to note that the colors are lovely, the neck better finished, the shirt seems to be cut a little longer, and the fabric is a bit clingier/stretchier than in the past. If your current size tended toward the snug, you might want to order a size up in this new iteration. I said to the Sales Associate, “you know, these shirts have a fan club,” and she replied that it’s one of the items they sell out of quickest.

I love this top! Since I’ve discovered this top, I’ve bought several. They’re great to dress up or down. Now, what colors do I need?

What a gorgeous teal. I haven’t tried this myself, and the boatneck isn’t always my friend, but if you say it’s worth checking out, I trust you.

nancy – one of each? 😉

mater – normally boatneck isn’t my best neckline either, but this top is surprisingly workable. And you can always add a scarf to create a vertical line.

Ooooh, I’m wearing a (last season’s) pale blue one as I read your post. Time for teal!

How do you keep bra straps from showing? Sew on keepers at the shoulder seam? I’ve stayed away from boat necks for this reason.

julia r – I’ve found that on this particular shirt, the ends of the neck opening are just wide enough so as not to encroach into bra strap territory.

mardel – let us know how the colors look in person.

duchesse – yes, doesn’t that teal look yummy?
