Shoe Shine and Un-Shiny Shoes

These boots were made for walkin’. And sippin’ wine at a sidewalk café.

How high up are these boots? I’ve just come from Provence and Paris and saw a lot of women wearing a boot like this….with a dress. Always thought of boots as more winter but I’ve even noted in NY that boots seem to be year round. Have to rethink this. Thanks.

Maryl, they’re ankle boots. I’m working out how to wear them with a dress/skirt. 🙂

Sarah, wish I had bought them in London, could have taken advantage of the VAT refund! I tried them in London but didn’t have time to go back and get them, purchased here after I got home.

    Thses are sublime!

Here’s the thing, and know I keep saying this: checked the temperature there that day: about 74F! In Montréal that is prime sandal weather- in fact anything over the low 60s is, as we have to jam our feet into heavy boots so much of the year- no choice. I guess women there like the look?

I’d certainly look like a tourist there, in sandals while the locals are in boots.

Duchesse, the thing about the temperature readings is that it may have been 74F for all of an hour or two mid-afternoon. Mostly it’s in the 60’s here near the coast, comfortably cool.

But today it’s warmer, and yes, I’m in sandals.

I wear these with a skirt and tights, happily.

Also have worn it them with a shift dress and tights. LOTS of fun!

I love suede boots. Your grey ones are fab. Enjoy!

Beautiful boots, the gray is lovely and so versatile. I have a similar pair in tan that a wore often with colored jeans all winter and spring.
