Dans le jardin

Sunflower, bee

I love peonies and roses for their dramatic beauty, but sunflowers are just so darn cheerful. I don’t know about you but they always make me happy. This one is in a neighbor’s front yard. I spotted it while out walking les chiens yesterday and had to dash back with the camera. Once again, caught some bee action.

One of my favorite jazz melodies is this one, “Little Sunflower” by Freddie Hubbard.

  1. I adore sunflowers as well. We used to plant them outside my office window where I could watch them dance with the sunlight all day long until their twilight curtsy. I think I’ll plant some next spring 😉
