Cyber Monday: Travel-Friendly Picks
Whether you’ll be traveling for the holidays or in the new year, it’s a good time to save on pieces that will work well as part of a travel wardrobe. I’ve pulled together a few suggestions from the Cyber Monday sales. (Some styles and sizes may have limited availability.)
Clothing
Merino wool is one of my favorite fabrics for travel. It’s lightweight, washable, resists picking up odors, and (in my experience) is comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. The merino pullover above is 50% off. It has an easy fit but will still layer nicely underneath a jacket or coat. In sizes XX-Small to X-Large, and other colors.
A cardigan is a versatile option for travel; wear it open as a top layer, or buttoned as a mid-layer. This merino wool v-neck cardigan is a very budget-friendly choice, and offered in several colors.

I really enjoy reading your blog! I’ve been thinking about purchasing Lo and Sons “Pearl Bag” for quite some time. I have a trip to Croatia next June and this bag seems as though it would be perfect. I have a question for you. Do you prefer the Saffiano or the Napa leather for the bag? Can you also explain your preference?

Hi Catherine, Thanks! The black Pearl bag I’ve used on prior trips is the Napa leather. It’s softer than the saffiano, and might be a little more prone to scuffing. (The scuffs polish out though, at least on the black.) The saffiano will be waterproof and more durable, and more structured. Hope this helps!
I had the same question so this answer helps. Wish the Napa leather came in the graphite color but the graphite color seems more versatile for traveling…..might be able to get away with only 1 handbag for a trip.

I have the black Blondo boots and they are fantastic! An excellent stand in for the higher priced Aquatalia ( which I have in leather) the Blondo suede is waterproof and great for travelling in rainy or slushy climes. It cleans up beautifully. However they are not particularly warm for very cold temps. This is my second pair of Blondo boots and I would highly suggest going up a half size. I wear a 9 and the 9.5 fits much better especially if you are walking. My heavy duty shearling boots are Blondo and I had to size up as well. Thank you Susan for this great sale info!!

Those Sorels are VERY warm. I have Sorels, only for the very coldest weather here in Montréal, but not as high as they are hard to get on and off.
