April Flowers
Despite my minimalist leanings, I do have an affinity for a good floral print. I find floral clothing items hard to wear without the nagging feeling that I’m wearing curtains or upholstery. But a floral print scarf? That I can do. And they feel just right for Spring.
Do you like floral prints? How do you wear them?

I like your scarf a lot…lately I seem to turn away from all florals…but I really like this one with your green jacket. For some reason most floral prints make me feel older…do not know why that is. Happy Monday!
I’m in a plaid phase right now, but I have nothing against florals and have worn them in abundance in the past.
I only have 3 items in my closet in floral prints. I think the reason I don’t wear more prints in general is because they are too memorable and I am working toward having a small, versatile wardrobe. Using a scarf as an accessory is a good way to work in some print.
I think a floral scarf is just the right amount of print and color. I love the one you’re wearing and I’ve had my eye on that gray and blue floral from the Gap.
I’m in a floral mood, myself. Just bought three dark floral midi dresses, and I have a nice floral scarf collection. This one is fabulous on you.
I have always enjoyed floral prints in the spring and summer. There’s something about a garden even if I’m wearing it.I pondered over a scarf with red anemones today on Rue des Francs Bourgeois but didn’t buy it because I already have too many scarves.
I don’t do prints ever since deciding years ago that plain colours were for me . (Lately I’ve wondered if I’m too rigid and will be trying a polka dot jacket if it ever gets warmer) . I love flower prints on others or for interiors but when I’ve had them have avoided wearing them – I feel swamped or as if I might camouflage myself in front of the furnishings !
Love that poppy scarf with the military jacket. The jacket saves the scarf from being too ‘pretty’ or girlie. I’m afraid of too much print too. Like some of the lovely Tory Burch retro print…great if you’re 25. But not at 50+.
Hmmm.. I have one floral scarf that I should wear this spring. I loved it when I bought it, but haven’t worn it yet.
So cheerful and like how it makes military more womanly! I have a couple of Hermès florals which I like to wear with jean jackets, otherwise they read as staid on me.
Scarves are great for injecting a pop of color and cheerfulness into an outfit.
I feel the same way about floral garments but might try it in a scarf. Yours looks great!
That’s a super pretty scarf. I only wear one scarf with any regularity, and it’s a man’s version, from Etro. Pattern is paisley. So I guess I tend more towards menswear?
Oooh, yes!! Lovely indeed. I am going to dig through my scarves today and bring out some color!
I love a pretty floral scarf like the one you are wearing. I have several and look forward to wearing them as the weather warms up.
A floral scarf, or any print, is great way to add some interest to an otherwise plain outfit. And it’s easy, the same t-shirt +trousers or a simple dress gets a quick makeover. Great when travelling light!
Sure, I have many scarves but I haven’t been wearing them lately. Your looks great, I like the lively color and print. Excellent with a military styled jacket.
blue hue wonderland
I wear prints in the summer, including florals, but they tend to be stylized to the point of abstraction. My scarves are not overtly floral except for Regina, an early purchase that I would not buy again. I’m a geometric lover – stripes, polka dots, plaids.
Isn’t the first one poppies? That is a natural with a militay jacket.
😉
I just bought a floral Peter Pilotto for Target shirt which I am having trouble getting used to because I am so used to wearing solids and bringing floral print in through scarves. So I am a fan of your scarf because that’s how I like my dose of florals as well!
I love to see floral prints, but I don’t wear them often either. Except scarves. I love that poppy one you’re wearing – so bright and bold!
Gorgeous scarf! Everyone needs a shot of color once in awhile.

Pretty light scarfs are my go-to accessories for spring/summer… floral motives are best!
I do have a few (very few) floral scarves, but I find it difficult to put together outfits with them. They end up looking too “sweet” or grannyish. And although I am a granny, I try to avoid the caricature. One very pretty coral floral scarf that I own is screaming to be worn. Perhaps if I pair it with my denim jacket and a simple cuff, I could do it. It really is too pretty to waste.
I am a fan of florals- and scarves are a great way to put some pattern into your wardrobe without an overly big commitment to them. They can be busy- so the right colors/combo is essential. I LOVE your scarf- great colors and fantastic print!
Since when do you lean towards minimalism!? I enjoy your blog, but in no way are you anywhere near being a minimalist with your humongous wardrobe!
Hi Linda, I was using the term “minimalism” in reference to a style of clothing: solid colors, clean and simple lines, an absence of a lot of visual detail.
You look pretty in this one! Always a great way to transition into spring and have color near your lovely face! For some reason, I’m feeling “off” my scarves this spring. It might be the same thing I’m feeling about print mixing … I’m just not drawn to them right now. That will undoubtedly turn around come fall, though!
Great selfie! I love scarves of all varieties, and florals are no exception. It’s a great way to enhance an outfit and provide a layer if needed. Discovering a gorgeous scarf is one of the joys of life!
