Dans le jardin
When I was out in the yard just a little while ago, noticed out of the corner of my eye that my rogue tomato plant actually has some tiny fruit!
Apologies for the focus, was shooting in a hurry. |
As an indicator of how unseasonably warm the weather has been here lately, some of it is actually starting to ripen!

Ah, signs of (delicious)new life, I love it! We have had a totally wet weekend, so the garden is very happy now.
So hard to imagine here — what a marvel!
Tomatoes in March. The color combination could be inspiration for a spring outfit!
Jealous!
Wow!
You must have a wee microclimate where that plant is warm…
Spring must be just around the corner!
April in Paris…
sigh
So phenomenally envious of your growing things! Here I am happy that today’s warmer trend melted the last of the snow off the driveway . . .
ENJOY!
How cute your baby tomatoes look and amazing for March! In your past posts – loved your ‘packing for Paris’ over at Tish’s and the gorgeous Eileen Fisher raincoat too. Not long till you go now I think?! How exciting. S x
After the weather we have had this “winter” in California, I am not all that surprised! Okay, maybe a little surprised to see tomatoes beginning to produce since they usually don’t show up until late in the summer around here. I worry about the grapes in our area – not sure that all this warmth this time of year is very healthy for them. Thankfully, it’s to be cold and wet for the next several days. I can finally use my much adored umbrellas and rain boots. Are you expecting rain down south?
Incredible…tomatoes this time of year! We haven’t even planted yet.
Hello:
This is rather amazing and, as you say, an indication of a change in the normal weather patterns. We are not entirely convinced that this is such a good thing!!
Yummy! Time for a salad.
