As Promised…
Pictures of my new Carré Hermés going through her paces. The auto focus on my camera does not appear to be working, so apologies for the fuzzy images.
The scarf arrived this morning and I am thrilled! The colors are even more gorgeous and saturated than the image from the website. The fabric has more body/stiffness than I’m accustomed to, so it will take some practice to get the hang of it. One thing I’ve figured out is that some of the methods from the Hermés “Playtime With Your Scarf” pdf’s require a neck about three feet long to really get the desired look. I’d also hoped to show it with my scarf ring, which of course seems to have vanished today. :-p
1. As tied loosely like a man’s tie.
2. Worn closely to the neck; a couple different versions.
3. Loose and casual.
4. But add a trenchcoat, et voila! Instant Parisienne!

The Hermes staff at the stores I regularly visit in North America and Paris range from formal and businesslike (not rude) to gracious. Not so the behaviour of some customers, and I do not mean you, beladora! To carry a credit, might not be the best strategy as prices continue to rise.

But the best thing about your new scarf is that you didn’t have to get it at the Hermes store where the sales associates are so rude…
I work in the luxury goods business and if I treated my potential and current clients the way that Hermes treats their potential and current clients, I’d be out of business.
I’ve had a credit for the BH Hermes store for 2 years that I haven’t used because I refuse to put up with their nonsense and prices…and my office is a block away.

Ooh, pretty. The acquisition of an Hermes scarf is on my fashion bucket list. But I fear I’ll never be able to choose “the” pattern.
