Celebrating the Little Things

Tonight to celebrate and get in the proper frame of mind for the return of Downton Abbey, we cracked a bottle of bubbly…

set out some shrimp and brie…

and even  warm canapés.

One must do what one must do.

  1. I think it will be another week before I can face alcohol or fancy food again, I really overindulged this Christmas, hope you enjoy this season of Downton, we flopped down in front of the Christmas special which was excellent.

  2. My son dropped round Sat. evening with the entire Season 2. (He downloaded it.) So… am trying not to blast through all the episodes in a couple of evenings!

  3. I used to do something similar for each new Poirot episode. It was always such a treat when a new DVD came in the mail 🙂

  4. Miam!

I’m waiting to receive the first season from a friend of mine in Spain who raves about this program. I can’t wait…and I may just have to have a ‘déjà pseu’ party to celebrate in a most proper fashion.

  5. Ooh, can’t wait for the new season, gotta love Dame Maggie and the rest!

What a nice idea to turn it into an ocassion. I love celebrating anything and everything. I think it’s very good for the soul to take notice of the good things in life, or rites of passage etc.

    Cheers,

  6. Yes! One must do what one must do! I think you managed it superbly (as usual). Amazing all the interest this television series has erupted. I’m hooked and look forward to the next episode.

  7. We’re going to wait for it to come out on netflix, too hard making time every Sunday. We saw the last season after the fact and loved it so much that at the end of the last episode we said “no, please don’t end it now!”
