Chillin’

J.Crew peacoat, navy peacoat

The weather’s been so chilly the last few days that I’ve been eyeing this J.Crew peacoat. Can’t decide between the Navy or Dark Bone color. Until midnight tonight, J.Crew is offering 30% off select styles with code PRESENTS (alas this coat is not among them). 30% off for Men, Girls and Boys too.

It’s been a busy week, both on the blog and off.

Lundi: I proposed some gift ideas for those people on your list that you might not know very well, but still wish to acknowledge.

Mardi: I shared my “recipe” for a casual holiday gathering.

Mercredi: I shared an outfit inspiration and my own interpretation (all with pieces already in my closet).

Jeudi: Macaron moments, and noted the passing of a great and inspiring man, Nelson Mandela.

Vendredi: Vintage jewelry delights from Beladora.

Samedi: Linked to some shoe care tips, craved some chocolat chaud.

Today I’ll be re-shooting my next scarf tutorial, so please be sure to check back next week for that, and just a few more (I promise) gift suggestions. Are you done with your holiday gift shopping yet?

Ah, a peacoat is sort of in the back of my mind, too – warm, but casual and short. I could sure use the “warm” part right now – it’s in the single digits!

I did most of my gift buying via the UNICEF website. Now the wrapping begins.

Peacoats are such crisp classics. I love the look. Let us know if you picked one up at JC.

The peacoat has a great design, nice choice. My vote is for the bone color.

I’ve been wearing a bone color wool trench (Burberry) this week in Paris. I may be the only woman in this color in a sea of black outerwear. But, you know what, I just don’t care, lol. I get so tired of le color noir.

Since I live in Dubai, I ave no reason to stock up on coats BUT i do own a few for winter travelling – a camel classic trench, a wool structured long coat and another leather trench. I actually love coats!
