En vacances
We’re off tomorrow to the Colorado Rockies for a few days of skiing, eating and general snowy fun. I guess I need to start packing!
Fortunately this year they’ve received more snow than last, so I have my fingers crossed for some excellent ski conditions. Une femme is a gentle skier: cruising speed, no moguls, no black diamonds. My idea of a good day is one where I don’t fall! I just like to mosey down the hill and pause to take in the magnificent views and smell the evergreens.
I’ll be posting next week about les sports d’hiver and whatever else piques my interest, though perhaps a bit more sparsely.
Have a great weekend!

Have fun!
Have a great time! I gave up my skis, but have snowshoes & poles, no worries about falling, & it’s good exercise. Plus, you can get into the woods.
Enjoy the scenery and breathe in that frosty air…
what ‘s that no black diamonds?
Look forward to some pictures when you get back…
Have a wonderful time!
Have a wonderful time! Maybe we can get you to Stowe, Vermont some time?
You are going to have incredible snow. Enjoy.
Also, after your vacation, do you think that you could possibly post your scarf tying videos on the sidebar of you blog. They are so fantastic.
Last week I needed a quick lesson from you and I didn’t have time to go back to find the video with the specific knot that demonstrated.
Oh have a fabulous time. I hope you’ll be swathed in furs.
Bon voyage! Have fun on and off the slopes and tell us about it when you’re back!
Have a wonderful time on your holiday, with lots of good days not falling!
Bonne weekend,
Mimi
Have a great time! There is nothing better than pausing and enjoying the scenery. 🙂
I hope that you have a fantastic time. Don’t worry about us. We’ll be here when you get back.
Miss J hopes Miss Pseu and her famille have a great time.
Thanks for your kind words yesterday at my blog.
Happy skiing. It is BOILING here. Hard to imagine tripping the light fantatsic in snow!
How’s your garden travelling? Post some snaps when you get back. x
Have fun! And please smell the snow for me:).
Have a great time and welcome to fabulous Colorado! Will be looking forward to your photos.
Have fun Pseu! I hope the weather is gorgeous for you.
We went skating today. Love winter sports!
Paula – thanks! The beauty of this place never wears off!
LBR – aww, thanks!
NancyDaQ – thanks!
Rita – I’ve wanted to try snowshoeing for ages.
hostess – thanks and ski runs are coded with symbols to indicate difficulty. Black diamond runs are most difficult.
materfamilias – thanks!
itztru – thank you. I’ve always wanted to visit Vermont…
Belle – thanks. After years of getting hardly any fresh snow while we’re here, looks like we’re going to have a week of it starting tonight. I posted a link to all of the videos but will work on getting them all up on the sidebar (great idea, thanks!).
Tabitha – one certainly does see a lot of furs here, but my only fur piece is a short mink jacket purchased a while back from Couture Allure, and in this cold one wants to keep one’s tucchus covered so I left it home in favor of the trusty parka.
Duchesse – thank you! Today is our “acclimation” day (at altitude 8800+ ft, takes about 24-48 hours to adjust) so I’ll be out and about with the camera.
BonjourRomance – any day I don’t fall is a banner day! Merci!
Miss Janey – thanks, and you’re very welcome. Every word is true.
Susan Tiner – thank you. Weather’s always the wild card here, but short of blizzard conditions, it’s all good.
Faux Fuchsia – thanks and hope the weather starts to cool down for you sometime soon. Our garden is looking a bit drab, as a lot of plants seem to have gone dormant for winter, but should be “springing” back soon.
LPC – thanks. There’s nothing like that smell, is there?
The Style Crone – thank you. You’re in CO too?
Miss Cavendish – I read about it on your blog, sounds wonderful. They have a lovely ice rink in the middle of the “village” here, will take some pics for you.
