Fall Style in Paris: J.Crew Sale Picks & Travel-Friendly Pieces
I arrived in Paris yesterday, and the weather was divine! After dropping my bags at the hotel, I took a quick stroll over to the Jardin du Luxembourg to find half of Paris already there enjoying the sunshine and mild temperatures.

There’s a definite feel of fall in the air here, and some of the trees have already begun changing color for the season. I’ll be out the door shortly to go exploring and take lots more photos, and (of course) style notes.
J.Crew is having an excellent sale…
You can save 30% off full-price styles with code SHOPNOW, and that includes some of our favorites, and travel-friendly pieces!

J.Crew Warwick double-breasted sweater blazer & leopard belt
This lightweight sweater blazer is perfect for transitional season wear. It’s 30% off with code SHOPNOW.
And the leopard belt is one I wear often, also 30% off.
I’ve been told this pleated slip skirt packs well for travel. It’s available in several neutral colors.

Cliché or not, while out and about yesterday I spotted a notable number of French women wearing some version of a marinière, usually white with navy stripes.
J.Crew trainers with metallic colorblock
Yes, sneakers are still ubiquitous here in Paris (and London). These would do nicely, and are well-rated for comfort!

J.Crew Going Out Stretch Twill Blazer
If you’re looking for a simple blazer that can dress up or down, this one might fill that gap. It’s available in Regular, Petite, and Tall sizes, and currently 50% off! (Also in Charcoal and Black.)
Even in cooler months, I prefer lighter weight (and breathable!) pajamas, and am tempted by these. Also in black.

Well, it looks like it’s going to be another gorgeous day here, and Paris awaits, so I’ll keep it short and will be back soon with more travel and style updates.
À bientôt!

I cannot wait for your street style and shop window updates! I wish you could do these posts from Europe every season. You seem to capture what people are actually wearing and not just the fashion outliers. Those people are striking, but not helpful for conveying the actual fashion vibe of where you are. Also, your pictures of France are just gorgeous.
I love Paris, but … So few chairs; so many people taking an extra for their feet …
I want J. Crew in the Netherlands!! Please tell them haha.
Have fun in Paris.

My favorite place in Paris!
Enjoy for us all!
We are right behind you and will be settling in for three whole weeks in Paris in October. Looking forward to your posts so I can tweak my wardrobe planning and shopping while there. Enjoy!
September is a great time to be in Paris! Your photo is bringing it all back to me 🙂
Have a wonderful time Susan!

Can’t wait for your street style and window pics! Have fun!
So happy you are back in Paris. Such a lovely time of year. Can you share the name of the hotel where you are staying? Mary Ann
I have those J. Crew trainers in silver. VERY stylish, but they ABSOLUTELY need an orthotic added if you’re going to be on your feet for any length of time. There is ZERO arch support on top of that thin sole.
Hi Susan. Looks like you are having a wonderful time – deservedly so. Am planning on a Paris visit next September and am wondering if you can recommend a decent place to stay (on my visit last year, the hotel was very underwhelming).
