First Sunday in September…
Last year’s mums |
I don’t have any current garden pictures to share, as everything’s looking a bit bedraggled from the heat. We typically can expect another several weeks of intermittently (very) hot weather before Autumn kicks in, so I need to get back in the habit of watering my containers daily!
This is the time of year when I focus on organizing, cleaning up, refreshing. I’ve added some Pages tabs at the top of the blog, including a short bio and shortcuts to Scarves and Paris posts.
Mostly I’m done with my fall wardrobe refresh. Still on the hunt for a longer, lightweight, non-black, preferably knit jacket, and a pair of equestrian style knee boots in brown that aren’t too rugged looking to wear to the office. Sticking with the workday uniform concept has helped me stay focused and avoid those purchases of items that will languish in the closet, cute as they are. I’ll be posting next week about how I’m navigating the trends these days.
Don’t forget that L’Affaire Cashmere is still offering a free silk scarf with the purchase of any cashmere or wool scarf or stole. This is a limited time offer, as is the 15% off with code dn016, so if you have your eye on something, don’t let this opportunity pass.
AND Karina Dresses is still offering many of their cute and flattering summer styles on sale!
There’s a new Sunday Farmer’s Market starting up today not too far from where we live, so we’re off to check it out.

Hope you enjoyed your Farmers market – I love all kinds of markets and good luck with tracking down those 2 items to complete your Autumn Wardrobe. X
I like your new tabs, nicely done. The Karina summer dresses are marvelous – such pretty prints!
I am gearing up for a solid transitional wardrobe- light weight sweaters and of course a new Karina dress!
I gave up on all my flowers a couple of months ago and the trees in our area turned brown early in August. Here’s hoping you find wonderful things at the market.
I have seen a number of really sharp looking knee boots recently. Vince Camuto has a couple of pairs that I’d like to have if only I had skinny legs.
Would love to check out the farmer’s market with you! Have fun!!
Hi Pseu, I’m considering this jacket, which seems to meet your requirements: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/clothes-jackets-outervest/25517947.jsp
Let us know if you try it! Comes in petite and regular, so maybe a regular fits your length requirement?
