Foulard de la semaine

I couldn’t wait to show you this one!

This gorgeous papillon scarf was a gift from Imogen. It’s a lovely sheer silk, with a dusty pink background and butterflies in shades of gold, brown and pink. The sweater was my New Color Palette Purchase during the shopping portion of our Saturday workshop. It’s a lovely lightweight cotton cardigan (“Jackie” cardigan from J.Crew). Not only is the color fabulous, but it has 3/4 sleeves, perfect for the air-conditioned office during summer months.

  2. WOW….that color is amazing on you. It brightens up your face, but it isn’t overwhelming. Well done!!!

  6. Yes, you are actually glowing now! The right color makes the difference. And the small scarf is so cute!

  7. Lovely colors in your sweater and scarf (the scarf is gorgeous). I also read your post on the workshop you did with Imogen and Karen. Sounds so fun, and I wish I could have been there to meet all of you. (For some reason I thought you lived in France, Pseu.)

Thanks for sharing what you learned. I learned something vicariously through you.

Also appreciate your recent comments on my post about writers and art. Muchas gracias.

  8. Imogen recommended this very colour for me too. Sadly they didn’t have this colour at the JCrew in Century City. It looks fantastic on you.

  9. This is my new favorite hue for you! the 3/4 sleeves will optically lengthen your legs, too! Good choice for three reasons: Quality item, great color, nice fit.

  10. Beautiful color on you! I’m trying more rose and corals this year. I bought the JCrew Tea Rose tank this spring, but have yet to wear it.

  11. Imogen – thanks and many thanks to you for the workshop and guidance!

  13. LBR – they have it online… 😉 I guess we have the same palette. Thanks!

Karen – thanks, and yes this cardi is definitely a winner!

Duchesse – I tend not to think of J.Crew because the don’t carry much in Petites, but this sweater is regular size and seems to be just fine in length. I’m going to make them a first stop for sweaters and other basics. Thank you!

  14. Miss Janey – thank you!

Sher – thanks! I’d love to see how that color looks on you.

Frugal Scholar – thank you! I’m not sure; I think you really have to get draped to find out where you are now.

  16. I guess you won’t mind if I repeat what everyone else has said: the color looks great on you.

So…what are some good colors for former winters?
