We are attending our town’s little 3 minute parade, then going to a barbecue this afternoon in a beautiful, shady setting. Like every year, we will come home too tired and overly socialized to bother seeing fireworks.

Thanks! Send cool thoughts my way — going on the fifth day with no electricity and temperatures in the upper 90s to 100 degrees. Our big dog, a Rottie, is suffering along with us. They really don’t do well in the heat.
