Happy Fourth!

Red White +Blue

Yes, it’s a Shoe Selfie™. Three cheers for the red, white and blue. The medallion is a sneak peek from a really cool jewelry line I’m going to introduce to you soon.

If you’re celebrating July 4th, hope it’s full of fun and family! And if you have any picnics planned, do check out How I Wear My: Summertime Picnic Look at The Rich Life On A Budget and Everything Just So.

  1. Do you seriously think those pointed-toe shoes are not harming your feet? Not to be a curmudgeon, but I wish there were more attractive but healthy options out there. But that won’t happen if we keep buying things that are bad for us. How do you reconcile this with your posts on comfort?

    1. Rita, these shoes don’t squish my toes and ARE comfortable. I buy them big enough that my toes have wiggle room. I also have feet with a slightly tapered shape that seem to accommodate a tapered shoe. I’m not saying these shoes would be comfortable for everyone, but they are for me. I have a very high arch/instep and there are certain types of “comfortable” clogs that are murder on my feet. Chacun a son gout.

      1. Well, OK, but I STILL cringe when I see them! (And, maybe your feet got that shape because of that type of shoe).

  2. I love the red shoes, especially with the denim. I hope you had a great 4th of July and THANK YOU for linking to our posts and for joining us for the picnic roundup! XO, Jill

  3. Yay, you’ve got your sole societies on. I have the black patent one with studs and like them so much I am going to order the nude AND red! They are so cheap!

  4. Thanks so much for linking up to Shoe Shine! I love your red shoes – I also have never had issues with pointy-toed shoes. I have Morton’s Toe (when your middle toe is longer than your big toe), which gives my feet that “taper” shape as well. I actually can’t wear some shoes that are more rounded – they rub on that longer toe.

  5. Love your blog! Do you have a Bib + Tuck account? Would love to be able to shop your closet on their site! You can also now make money on their site!
