Things That Tempted Me This Week…
Ok, so maybe one or three of them found their way into my shopping cart…😉
Eileen Fisher
The December collection launched on the website this week, and there were quite a few pieces that caught my eye. Until November 19, take $25 off with code HOLIDAY.
Above: this simple silk top will work nicely under a jacket, but can also look great worn on its own. (I’m picturing this with a longer sparkly necklace or two for holiday parties…) It’s also available in Midnight (navy) in Misses, Petites, and Plus sizes.
If you prefer a shorter length jacket, here’s one in sheared alpaca that’s warm, but light enough to wear indoors. Love that color!!
I was so happy to see a v-neck sweater with at-the-shoulder sleeves in this collection! The bright red is festive and bold, but if you prefer more subtle colors, it’s also offered in soft white and Claret. Misses, Petites and Plus sizes! This is the same “luxe merino” fabric I fell in love with in the store recently.
Made from organic cotton chenille, a pretty plaid scarf. A great choice for those who are sensitive to wool!
This soft chenille striped top is also made with organic cotton. I really like that wider neckline! It’s offered in the full range of sizes, Misses, Petites and Plus.
I love the shape and pattern of this fair trade organic cotton cardigan from Peru. The fabric is knit by community-based workshops in Arequipa, supporting higher wages and sustainable manufacturing. Offered in Misses, Petites and Plus sizes.
More New Styles From Eileen Fisher
Everlane
Everlane has brought back their popular Cocoon Coat. This lavender color might make the prospect of a long winter a little easier to bear…
I’m a big fan of metallic footwear, and if I were looking to add another pair of ankle boots, I’d be all over these. This style is really comfortable, and that metallic color is so versatile. (See how I styled the “Brick” color here: Menswear-Inspired )
DeMellier London
DeMellier has introduced a new bag style, the Naples. It’s a bucket bag, but with a bit more structure and some interior organization. I love this design: sophisticated but not fussy. It’s offered in several colors. I’ll be checking out the DeMellier pop-up shop at Le Bon Marché in Paris next month….

I’m not usually a fan of cardis but this one is beautiful.
I love your Eileen Fisher picks! Thanks to your blog, I have quickly become a fan of this brand. I love their business philosophy. And, I also like that they are sourcing in Peru, a country that I have a connection to as my husband has a business there.
Thanks to your recommendation, I recently purchased the EF velvet blazer in midnight. It is such a gorgeous fit and drape and very versatile. I found it at Neiman Marcus for $100 off! I plan to wear it with pretty much everything from casual to dressy.
Isn’t that blazer just the BEST?? 🙂
This post has some very interesting info about organic vs non organic cotton. I found it after clicking on the above organic cotton cardigan from Peru. The info about the Peruvian artisans is also enlightening. Good for Eileen Fisher.
Susan, I had a thought about a possible future post after reading your post about a failed camera. Would you consider telling us how you prepare for a post, like “ a day with Susan” ? Thanks!
I would find that interesting too!
Eileen Fisher customer service to the max!!! Last nite, I got a call from them to say happy birthday and come by for a discount. They are on the ball. Funny I was wearing an EF sweater at the time!
At the moment, none of the EF links are working.
Hi Kay, I just tested them all and they worked for me. Can you tell me what’s happening when you click the links?
I’m also unable to link to the Eileen Fisher pages; I get 404 messages for all of them. (The site itself is working fine.)
Thanks for letting me know. I’m not sure what the issue is, will look into it.
I’ve just tried re-generating the links, please let me know if you’re still having problems, thanks!
I like the silk shirt with the bracelet gathered sleeve. The style does well with my furry vest.
Your post inspired me to go to look for the blue silk top and it was as pretty as I thought ! It was time for me to update some business wear and I loved the top. I also tried the red sweater and for me it was just way too short, luckily I went to try it first before ordering online. Thank you for your blog –
That sweater in the pine color is gorgeous! Can you recommend a more budget friendly alternative?
Hi Jan,
The closest color match I’ve seen is “old forest” from J.Crew. I don’t know how this fabric is, but here’s a hoodie sweater in that color: https://shopstyle.it/l/VjEi
And a fitted cashmere crew: https://shopstyle.it/l/VjEv
What hopped into my shopping cart: Cole Haan Sylvia gray ocelot haircalf ankle boots, 50% off at the CH website, free shipping, plus 7% back through ebates. The discounted price made it easier to justify yet another pair of ankle boots, and I love the cool tone animal print.
