Program Notes

This is weekend we’ll be packing and taking care of odds and ends before we go.  Monday look for my Polyvore on the Floor™ of the final (probably) travel wardrobe, and Tuesday I’ll document the process of packing it all in a 20″ carry on bag. Keep your fingers crossed for me, as I know what I’m planning to take should fit *theoretically*….but if I have to edit I’ll share that too.

Tuesday/Wednesday we’re in transit, but I have a special post planned to keep you entertained while  we have all electronic devices off and stowed. We arrive in Rome Wednesday evening local time.

After that…I’ll try to post periodically as internet connections allow.  I may not be able to respond to your comments as much as I’d like, or post comments on your blogs.  My apologies par advance.

Bon weekend!

  1. Don’t worry about us — isn’t a vacation supposed to get you away from everyday life, ha?

Just remember enough to recap when you get back…and have a wonderful trip!

  2. It’s hard to believe that you are this close to departure.
So much planning and prepping and possibly editing…

Hope that all goes according to plan.

    Enjoy your trip!
Savour the sights and sounds…and we’ll be here when you return.

    Bon voyage!

  3. What a coincidence, my daughter will be in Italy at the same time. She is leaving Tuesday. Have a great time!

  4. Oo! I’m excited and I’m not even going!

Any room for me in that Polyvore-suitcase-packing extravaganza? No?…thought not. Shame!

    Bon vogae Pseu! x

  5. Hello:
What a splendid and oh, so stylish, image. We do hope that the packing goes according to plan, which we are sure it will, and will look forward to posts as and when you have internet connections.

  6. Oh, it seems like I just finished my own packing in a 24″ carry on bag. We started our trip in Amsterdam and the Hague and then on to Paris by train. Have a wonderful, romantic adventure Pseu. The weather was much warmer than I would believe, so half the clothes in my carry on bag were unusable! Bon Voyage!

  7. Oooooh, so exciting! I always get anxious the few days before a trip, but you’re so organized and well prepared that there’s no need for that. Have fun!

  8. It seems that all the pre-travel work of planning and packing is a great part of the trip too, for most of us.
I am sure that you have chosen wisely, this being not your first trip :)!

  9. I am interested in seeing how your husband packs. Men do not typically have as many wash-in-the-sink type fabrics. How will he handle having just a carry-on?

  10. Barbara – le monsieur thinks the idea of limiting oneself to a carry on bag is just this side of committable insanity. He is bringing and checking a larger bag.

sisty – petit garçon is staying home; we’ve arranged familiar and reliable full-time care. When we do take him on vacation, the destinations and activities are arranged around his abilities and interests.

  11. We’ll miss you, but don’t worry about us? It occurred to me to ask whether le petit garcon was going and, if so, what activities you have in mind for him.

    Bon voyage!
