A Few Good Shoes (On Sale)
It’s been a busy week! I’m working on a travel wardrobe capsule for Summer, and hope to have that posted next week. We had an out-of-town visitor, dogs who needed to see the vet (everyone’s OK 🐶) and I really need to tackle some projects around the house. So a somewhat shorter post today…

I was bereft last year when I had to give up my favorite Paul Green metallic sandals because the heel had become just too high for me. While not quite as edgy as that pair, I’m hoping these (above) might step in to fill that gap. I find metallic goes with everything. That block heel is 2″, which is my maximum. Perfect for meeting a friend for lunch or an evening out.
If you prefer something with a closed toe, these espadrilles with a low wedge are cute and very well reviewed for comfort!

I have two pair of the the Paul Smith/French Sole ballet flats, including the beige/black color way you show, and love them. Size down by 1/2 size as they run big. Great rubber sole for walking comfort & grip, and lightweight for travel, cute with both narrow ankle pants (my favorite) and with dresses.
I have those same Paul Green metallic sandals you had to give up. I love them, and so far I can still wear them. I too am phasing out higher heels in favor of lower heels, block heels, and flats. I saw Sofft has a similar sandal at Nordstroms, the Natesa Perforated Sandal in a metallic with a lower heel. I just purchased them. I have a couple of pairs of this brand and find them very comfortable.
