Sunday Music Corner
I just learned last week that I have two three degrees of separation from one of the still-living band members of one of my favorite bands that originated in the 1970’s, Little Feat. So here’s a performance of a classic LF tune, featuring Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris. Enjoy!
(I first saw Emmylou Harris perform as an opening act for Jesse Colin Young in 1975. I hadn’t heard of her beforehand, but was just blown away by her voice and performance. She hit it big not long after that.)

Your Sunday Music Corner is always fun. Bonnie Riatt is one of my favorites!
Oh, the memories! I saw Jessie Colin Young at Boston University in 1979, when I was a freshman. Concert in the gym. Do they still do that?
Thank you for the Sunday Music Corner. I need to check out if the earlier Sunday Music Corners.
Emmylou Harris is not well known in Austria, I did kow Bonny Riatt. (even own a record) I clicked on some more videos on Youtube. It is nice to see how she gaines selfconfidence during the years.
One question: do women who sing country music sing country music because their voice fits perfectly or do they adapt their voice so it fits perfectly for country music? I would not imagine her singing her other than country music.
BTW: she has perfect natural grey hair.
Have a nice sunday!
You still hear that song a lot on the radio.
I wish you could hear the women sing better. Some years later they’re the ones I have followed most closely.
Bonnie Raitt literally looks unchanged all these years later. Bonnie, what’s your secret?!
I saw EmmyLou in a high school gymnasium in Missoula, Mt. I always admire how well she has aged.
How fun! I love Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris. Thanks for the introduction to LF — never hear of them before.
