Since there were 32 zillion comments below I thought I would shoot this one up here.
1.) What a great post.
2.) In real life you seem a lot taller than 5’1″ btw.
3.) You have style, no question about it. You make a statement with your hair, which I love for example.
4.) I think we all make shopping errors — even French women. Stores are set up for us to make rash impulse buys after all.
5.) You already have your foundation, in your closet, you know you do.
6.) Why wouldn’t you want to “stand out”? Why not try it and see what happens?
7.) Can’t wait for your next installment.
8.) Women must always remember something expensive must be divided by the number of times we wear it — turn to it because it is perfect, so us — and then suddenly, it wasn’t expensive after all.
9.) And finally, are you buying any of that Bergdorf stuff? If so, do share.

I love clothes by Milly. They are always classic and beautifully cut. I was just looking at the Milly collection on Nordstrom.com yesterday to see what they have for the spring since I have “spring shopping fever.”
I wore styles like this in the 60s and 70s, fresh and very appealing. But these skirts are far too short for me now- especially the lower right. Or are they longer in the store versions?
I love Milly! Haven’t bought (or even tried on)anything yet, but love the mix of classic and playful. Doesn’t quite work for my lifestyle, and it’s at a price point where it would have to work quite a bit, but one of these days. . . meanwhile, I’m hoping I can enjoy it vicariously through you . . . have you something to show and tell?
I hadn’t even noticed the clothing, too distracted by the model’s “signature” awkward pose!
But now that you all have mentioned, the clothes are cute.

Ok this is a stupid pose but the clothes are excellent. I like Milly dresses a LOT. They are hard to source in Australia and pretty expensive but you can wear them for work or play.
Hmm…saw Medusa and turned to stone in that position?

Neat lines but much too short for me. I can go ‘flamboyant’ as well as ‘classic’ but my thighs are my own business.

Today while working I visited a large department store in an upscale shopping center, then a large and remarkably well-organized Goodwill, then later returned to the shopping center. While darting past the racks of trendy spring dresses, it occurred to me that they were just a few stains, diets and rebounds away from ending up on those Goodwill racks.

The whole look is very ’70s. Remember the Vogue models running up a curved wall? I think we’d call it a half-pipe now. Loved the graphic fabrics. A little short for me now ….

What looks like a light colored coat in the second photograph, where can that be found? I need light weather coats/wraps/cardigans and I’m fussy about the length, coverage, etc. From the picture it looks perfect…
