Eve Lom Rescue Mask

Whether you’re off to battle the Black Friday crowds today, or recovering from a big family Thanksgiving and putting the silver away, or just kicking back with a leftovers and a football game, there’s no evading the fact that the holiday season is upon us.

While joyful, “the most wonderful time of the year,” blah blah blah this can be a very busy and stressful time of the year, which can take a toll on your skin. The other night I noticed patches of red, irritated skin on my face, cause undetermined, so I grabbed my tube of Eve Lom Rescue Mask, and fifteen minutes later, my skin was calmed and smooth. I also find regular use of Rescue Mask keeps my pores minimized. I’ve re-established a few minutes relaxing with a mask as part of my Sunday-night-getting-ready-for-the-week-ahead routine, and it’s very restorative.

I apply immediately after removing any makeup and cleansing, leave on for 15 minutes, then remove with a damp washcloth, then follow with my usual moisturizing routine. I’ve tried various masks over the years, but this is the one that never fails to give me immediate, noticeable results.

Do you use a mask regularly?  Which one(s) do you like?

I love the Bioderma Hydrabio Mask – it is the best mask I have ever used. It hydrates skin perfectly and leaves plump and soft skin. And it is not very expensive, free of parabens, etc.

I would have to be paid to venture out near a mall in the US today, it must be horrific!

I use Avene mask for dry skin but I’d love to test the one you recommend.
Unfortunately stress does creep into the holidays and I think it’s especially true for women…
we often forget to take care of ourselves in the midst of all the busy-ness so your reminder is very timely.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

I noticed a few tiny white bumps near my eyes about six months ago, and internet research seemed to suggest that they would be difficult and/or costly to get rid of. I bought Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish plus muslin cloth, which is similar to Eve Lom but cheaper. In a matter of days I realised that I had sorted the problem! This product is available in the UK – not sure about other countries. Recently my friend had red irritated skin on her face and used tea tree oil successfully. If trying essential oils, do read the instructions carefully and try a patch test first.

I don’t use a mask, but I’m thinking it would feel wonderful from time to time…

I’m not out in the crowds (non, merci!) but am having fun doing some virtual window shopping and sipping coffee… Put together my “best ideas (for women)” list largely from catalogs both online and in print.

    It’s so much fun! A mask… I hadn’t thought of that. Hmmm…

This sounds delightful, I will have to give it a try.

Madly taking notes over here. I haven’t given myself a mask in years!

Another for Eve Lom here, the cleanser is also very good especially used with the muslin cloth. Smells great and is wonderful on the skin. This together with the Clarisonic sorts out all my skin issues.

I have never had a facial mask, nor have I used a pore minimizer. Lots to experience yet ; )!!

My favorite moisture mask is Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst. It’s super hydrating.

I use an Egyptian clay mask that I started buying at our little health food store in the British Virgin Islands. I’ve been in the US for 2 years now, and I have yet to run out because only a small amount is needed per use. It’s pure, natural and really works to unclog pores. Of course, I don’t use it as often now that I have a Clarisonic.

I used to love clay masks, but probably too drying for my skin now. I should try to find a hydrating one.

I have used Yon Ka Gommage masks for years. I love a mask that you “roll” off with your fingers. It sweeps away the dead stuff really well. I also love the nice herbal smell.

Sadly, I don’t have a mask that I reach for on a regular basis, but this one seems like as good a place to start as any. I think that may be the missing link in my total relaxation regimen!

I’ve not tried the Eve Lom mask but my complexion could certainly use the treatment. With the holidays upon us I’ll need all the luxuries I can treat myself to. Have a terrific week.

I don’t use a face masque on a regular basis but maybe I should… And I always take your recommendations very seriously as you know… And BTW Cindy Joseph has 15% off the boomsticks at the moment till end December I think – another of your great ‘show and tells’ ! X
