And if you live in California, please do the right thing and vote YES on Proposition 2, and NO on Proposition 8.

No one gave me any damn sticker >:-(
Done, done and DONE!
Totally off topic, but I hurried today to get a look at your new blush. Unfortunately the shade wasn´t right for my complexion, but having made the 20km drive to the shop, I decided to buy something,so I got a compact powder from Chanel in rosee-just a hint of pink in it, about 49 euros. I´m pleased. Thank you Deja. To the topic. This is an interesting day for all of us. Who gets to be president of USA!
LBR – Me too. 🙁
It was so uplifting to see the lines snaking out of my polling place this morning. Young, old, black, white and everything in between. Lots of folks brought their kids with them. People were upbeat, excited, and NO ONE was complaining about waiting in line. They had kids from the local high school helping keep lines organized and assisting the poll workers. I waited about 45 minutes, which wasn’t bad. Now we sit tight and wait for results.

I did my part! It’s going to be a loooooong day.
Done, and done 🙂
I hope that 8 gets shot down – I will be so disgusted w/ CA if it passes.
YES on all three counts!!!
I swear tonight will n e v e r get here! i have to find a high bridge if McCain/Tootsie get in!
I’ll be voting in approx. 1 1/2 hours, right after we get our flu shots.
My sticker fell off and I am as sad as if I lost a valuable pin.:-)
My seven year old came with me to the polls after school and NO WAITS!!! We both got our stickers. I wasn’t very happy with our choices, and therefore with my votes. I feel wistful, not so much hopeful…
California – you disappoint me. A lot.
Thomas – I know; it’s beyond disappointing. Unfortunately, the huge minority turnout for Obama tends to be traditionally religious. The yes on 8 people spread so many lies about the impact on churches, etc. that the No people weren’t able to effectively counter.
LBR – so happy you have a sticker now to commemorate this election!
You get stickers for voting! No one bribes us over here, though I have never had to queue either.
As a resident of the rest of the world I would like to thank America generally for voting in Obama – he’s the one we would all have chosen if we had any say in who runs the world.
He-weasel found another sticker for me. I am so happy to have it. I am keeping it—forever.:-)
thank you so much for your words. I share your happiness. I hope someday we can all meet us and share what we cheer : our generosity.

Thomas: It is so disappointing. We) my and my He-weasel) went to a Prop 8 rally. 95% of the people there were for 8. It was so disturbing. Especially the young kids who are so angry, rage filled and have no idea why. My weasel tried to talk to some of the kids there to understand why they were for 8. They were incapable of explaining their position. It was sobering to see that kind of mindless rage from young kids.
Proposition 8 killed me, then came back and ran over my dead carcass.
My god California.
Thomas – me too. But apparently the state Supreme Court may take a crack at it. I’m certain it’s not a done deal yet.
