I have Karen to thank for my latest jewelry infatuation; she introduced me to French Kande and I was smitten from the get-go. The pieces are so unique and beautifully made. Kande, the designer, first found these vintage medallions in a dusty box at the marché aux puces de Saint Ouen in Paris. She was inspired to use them to create unique jewelry pieces, and has continued to create and add new designs to the line. Kande uses materials such as real freshwater pearls, Czech glass beads, stones such as labradorite, agate, carnelian, turquoise, and brass and silver chains and findings. All of the jewelry is made in the USA, and the quality is first rate.

The necklaces and bracelets can be worn singly, but many also look fabulous when layered. The long and short necklaces are wonderful worn together, and the style mixes well with some of my other jewelry. I love that the medallions evoke Paris without being kitschy or too over-the-top. If you love Paris or just unique and beautifully made jewelry, you will love French Kande.

I’ve also had the pleasure to get to know Kande, and she is a fun, intelligent and lovely person, as well as a creative one. I think you’ll love her designs as much as I do.

You can see me wearing some of my favorite French Kande pieces here, here and here.

  1. I love this line and the story of how this got started. Will you consider having a FK party? Sure beats Tupperware. 🙂 (Nothing against a fine food storage container)

    1. I thought for sure I had read about home parties with FK jewelry but now I cannot find the info. Pardon if my comment is out of place.
