Bowls.
Our ragtag cadre of cereal/fruit bowls had been reduced by attrition (breakage) over the last few years to a lonely cohort of two rooster-adorned stalwarts, purchased at TJ Maxx sometime last decade. Yesterday I set out to replenish the ranks, and dropped by Macy’s where a home sale was in progress. This ersatz found-at-a-brocante pattern tugged at my heartstrings, so came home with six of them.

Perfect – a sort of Los Angeles went to France melange.
I like those. The do look as though you found them in the French countryside.
So pretty — and some mornings, that little jolt of prettiness is what it takes to get going.
I love interesting bowls and these look very versatile. (I especially love drinking café au lait out of a bowl in cooler weather, but only this sort of pottery bowl of just the right size and feel in the hands. I feel like I’m back in France!)
I love these, and adore Pam’s idea about a bridal re-shower at age 50. Because my breakfast bowls need a makeover!
I have cupboards full of “looks like it’s antique but it’s not” stuff – cheap and good for everyday use. These bowls are great. I applaud your taste!
Beautiful. I love the white glaze over darker clay. Rustic and elegant.
These are beautiful…good purchase. Sometimes I wish at middle age we got another bridal shower!!
Lovely cups. A suggestion – buy two more, just in case!
